The Wisdom of Dale Carnegie
“Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.”
“Today is life -- the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today.”
“The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it.”
“No one ever kicks a dead dog. And the more important a dog is, the more satisfaction people get in kicking him.”
“The first requisite for a good night’s sleep is a feeling of security. We need to feel that some power greater than ourselves will take care of us until morning.”
My father claims this book to be life changing. For me, it was interesting and largely aspirational. If only I could have followed its advice.
